Romney Spokesman Rick Gorka Tells Reporters "Kiss My Ass"

comments

Wrapping up his overseas visit, the Romney campaign goes out with a bang. Butchering the first two legs of his tour by questioning England's ability to handle the Olympics and insulting the Palestinian people while using inaccurate numbers to describe Israel's GDP, why not go three for three.

Romney had just laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw’s Pilsudski Square, personally thanking and shaking hands with about 50 uniformed Polish soldiers who watched the silent ceremony. Then, in a gesture of gratitude, Romney pressed his hand to his heart and bowed his head.

As he walked back to his vehicle, he ignored reporters’ shouted questions. When a journalist noted that Romney has taken almost no questions from his traveling press corps throughout the foreign trip, Romney spokesman Rick Gorka retorted, “Kiss my ass.” Washington Post 7/31/2010

Gorka said it was a holy place and demanded reporters show some respect, he then went on to tell another reporter to "shove it." He later called the reporters to apologize. One campaign strategist then called the trip "a success."

If a tornado destroys your neighborhood, then yes, the tornado was a success.

Mitt Romney - The Wimp Factor

The latest Newsweek issue is not helping Mitt Romney's image, especially after his overseas blunder where he essentially blew into England to showoff his statesmanship skills and told them they were doing the Olympics wrong. What is it about Mr Romney that makes him appear as weak and inept?

Well, according Newsweek’s Michael Tomasky:
“He’s kind of lame, and he’s really ... annoying. He keeps saying these ... things, these incredibly off-key things. Then he apologizes immediately—with all the sincerity of a hostage. Or maybe he doesn’t: sometimes he whines about the subsequent attacks on him. But the one thing he never does? Man up, double down, take his lumps.”
Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but not too far off the mark either. Mitt Romney's inability to come up with anything that truly differentiates himself from Barack Obama makes him a tough sell to independents.

Mr Tomasky has a valid point, as long as Mr Romney chooses to change positions based on the ebb and flow or the political tide, he will not get any respect for standing on principle and will continue to be viewed as a panderer.

The Palins Supporting Chick-fil-A

Sarah and Todd stopped into a Chick-fil-A to throw their support behind the fast food chains message against gay marriage. Joining Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Rev. Billy Graham, The Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America in solidarity, as well as a host of other extremist right wing organizations.
“Stopped by Chick-fil-A in The Woodlands to support a great business,” the former Alaska governor tweeted on Friday night and posted a picture of her and husband Todd giving a thumbs up to the restaurant.
Coming off the heels of Bristol's child calling his aunt a "faggot" it's no surprise that the Palin's support any sort of anti-gay agenda. This is just how they were raised, rural Americans with a complete sense of entitlement and total disdain for those who different in any way.

Recovering From England Gaffe, Romney Boasts War With Iran

Moving on to a more hospitable environment, Mitt Romney has found his stride as he takes a militant stance with Israel against Iran. After all, what God fearing Republican doesn't want to bomb another third world Middle Eastern country? Look at how close they put their country to our 45 American military bases.

Some of the first words out of Romney's mouth were that military strikes would be "on the table" if he were president.
"Make no mistake: The ayatollahs in Tehran are testing our moral defenses. They want to know who will object, and who will look the other way," Romney says in a foreign policy speech set for Sunday afternoon. "My message to the people of Israel and the leaders of Iran is one and the same: I will not look away; and neither will my country." The Huffington Post 7/29/12
This stance isn't that different from President Obama, whose administration continues to push for sanctions as opposed to military action, but maintains the option is not off the table. Not breaking from tradition, Romney is not directly criticizing the president while on his overseas trip, however implications are peppered throughout.

Chick-fil-A Grand Opening Busted By Pro-Gay Marriage Protesters

As a crowd camped out overnight in anticipation of Chick-fil-A's grand opening in southern California, they were forced to disperse when they learned a protest was imminent. The restaurant was offering free meals for a year to the first 100 people at a new location according to KNBC-TV

During that time, the Orange County Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center made signs calling for a boycott and prepared to march outside the grand opening and Thursday morning, employees told the camped-out crowd that they had to leave.

The White House Doesn't Fully Appreciate Anglo-Saxon History

Mitt Romney is starting off his overseas trip to bolster his foreign policy credentials with a bang. At the top of his list is speaking about how Obama's White house is out of touch with the special relationship, apparently only appreciated, by white people.
“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said of Mr Romney, adding: “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have” The Telegraph
Mr Romney went on to say that Obama, whose father is not native to either country, didn't understand the complexities of the relationship between England and America.

This isn't the first time Romney has tried to paint Obama as a foreigner, on several occasions he's called Obama's ideas "foreign", inciting questions about his upbringing. A strategy that works well with red state Republican voters.

Banning Costumes - The Real Issue

While it may be too soon to discuss banning assault weapons, it's not soon enough to ban costumes in theaters. In LA they've banned all costumes in AMC theaters.
AMC Theatres banned some costumes at all its theaters Friday as a security measure after a gunman fired on a Aurora, Colo., audience, killing at least 12 during a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises."
Alleged gunman James Holmes was wearing a gas mask and riot garb that some have compared to the costume of the Batman movie's villain, Bane. New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told the Associated Press that the shooter dyed his hair to look like the Joker, another Batman villain, although Aurora police have not confirmed this. Source: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/07/dark-knight-shooting-amc-theaters-costumes-banned.html
The NRA won't comment until all the facts are known, all we really know is that there are 12 dead and 58 injured from the business end of an AR-15, but let's not jump to conclusions. We look forward to a full investigation, including a visit from a prominent member during a funeral to speak about your 2nd amendment rights.

Rational Gun Control

Gun control isn't an attack on the second amendment, it's just common sense. When the constitution was written there weren't handguns or assault rifles and the Tea Party and NRA weren't considered a well regulated militia. At the very least, this discussion needs to be had rationally by those with an objective voice on both sides of the aisle. I'll let you finish your laugh before reading on.

Should anyone be able to buy multiple weapons and unlimited ammunition within a short period of time without raising flags? Sure, a person can just as easily kill with a car but they at least have to train to drive, get a license and register the car. There's no DMV Association scaring the shit out of car owners, saying the Government will pry a car from their cold dead hands.

What constitutes an assault weapon? This is a fair question that needs clarification, until this is resolved the debate continues to be muddy. However, I think we can all agree that any weapon with large magazines that can fire as fast as your finger can pull the trigger poses an imminent threat regardless.

When the unfounded hyperbolic nature of over-regulation is taken out of the conversation, we can start to have an objective discussion. We shouldn't be waiting for the next massacre, calmer heads need to prevail, we need to take a look at how easily these weapons are obtained with no oversight and make common sense changes.

Mitt Romney Rakes In $25 Million In Foreign Income Between 2005 - 2010

According to Mitt Romney's 2010 tax return he accumulated more than $25 million in foreign income between 2005 and 2010, while he was governor of Massachusetts and a presidential candidate.

According to the Huffington Post:
The 2010 return lists foreign tax payments Romney made dating back to 2000. By Romney standards, the payments were modest through 2004, averaging $37,000 a year. In 2005, however, his foreign tax bill shot up to $333,149 and stayed high for the next three years, before dipping in 2009, as the financial crisis hit hard.

In 2010, Romney's foreign tax bill was down to $67,173 on declared foreign income of $1,525,982. That's a 4.4 percent rate. After expenses and various other deductions, Romney declared a net foreign income of $392,000, making his net tax rate 17 percent.
Because the presumptive GOP presidential nominee has so far declined to release his earlier tax returns, HuffPost made a rough calculation of his prior foreign earnings by assuming he paid similar tax rates in previous years.

Using that analysis, paying $333,000 in taxes would translate into gross foreign income of $7.5 million in 2005, or net income of $1.9 million. Even using the much-reduced net income figure, Romney would have earned $7 million in foreign income from 2005 to 2010.
It's becoming more and more clear why he doesn't want to give the public any more information than he has to, if this is any indication, he might be better off taking the hit politically.

The Muppets Break Ties With Chick-Fil-A

It turns out the company behind The Muppets no longer wants to be associated with a company that's clinging to the ever dwindling support of the anti-gay marriage crowd.

Last Friday, the company behind beloved shows such as "Fraggle Rock," "Labyrinth," and "The Muppets," severed ties with Chick-Fil-A due to the fast food chain's CEO's opposition to same sex marriage.

"The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-Fil-A to GLAAD. (http://www.glaad.org/)"

Cathy, who is the company's COO and son of its founder, blew open what has always been a controversial company policy: its support, through donations, to organizations that actively oppose gay rights. In an interview with Baptist Press, Cathy responded "guilty as charged" when asked about the company's stance - he claims to run it on "Christian values" - and was undaunted by the potential fallout.

Planned Parenthood Giving Away Free Flat Screen TV With Abortion

In a move to put a much needed positive spin on abortion, Planned Parenthood is launching a new campaign to get the word out that it's not as bad as extreme right wing Republicans make it out to be. "We even offer cookies!" could be heard from a nurse in an exam room next to us during our interview with the director, Shaquitha Nolan, "Now we're giving them free TV's?? Shit, it's like Christmas 'round here!"

The move comes in the wake of additional revenues by the Susan G Komen fallout combined with Obamacare funding. "We have all these extra rooms we used to use for breast exams and pap smears that are just sitting, so we though why not just fill them up with TV's for the promotion." With abortions being over 99.8% of what Planned Parenthood does, other services that seem pointless are being dropped.

Some restrictions apply to get a new TV, it must be at least your second abortion but first timers still get cookies and a balloon. They now also offer a frequent abortion card for every 5th one, it's on the house.

How Romney Can Win The Conservative Vote

If Romney really wants to get the Conservative vote, here's a few tips to win their hearts.

  • Force molested 12 year old girls to keep their father's baby (guaranteed to sweep you all the plain states)
  • Promise to cut funding for teachers, firefighters and police
  • Promise to continue funding for hedge fund managers and Wall St bankers
  • Promise to end preventative cancer screenings for low income women
  • Promise to end abortions by ending birth control
  • Quit being a Mormon and convert to Christianity
  • Treat homosexuality as a disease
  •  Let the auto industry fail

Palin Game For Another Run

The Republican party still hasn't found its "real" conservative candidate and with support for the party at an all time low, many have all but given up hope. Queue Sarah Palin, who after dropping out of the presidential race after dropping out of her job as Governor during her first term, has vowed to save the sanctity and good name of the party by going on record with "well, if no one else runs I might. I don't know. Maybe."

Is now that time? Sure, others are running but Romney's a liberal hippie who made his millions by eliminating jobs and liquidating once thriving businesses, typical left wing pinko. While Santorum can't seem to get away from Santorum.

Mrs Palin, always the giver, has once again "offered to help" "I cannot predict what will happen in the future, but I know that I have got the fire in my belly to try to help, to try to make a difference and if that involves running for public office at some point in the future, I'm game for that," she said.

It could be that Moose meat sandwiches left out on the counter for a couple of days can cause a fire in the belly too, the same happens with tuna or meatloaf.

After claiming Obama is a Marxist who is taking away your freedoms, she also says she " likes the freedom she now has as someone who is not 'shackled' by the titles attached to public officeholders.

Birth Control and Abortions

If you are in the Catholic church birth control and abortions are both no no's, never mind that one leads to the other. The point is in God's eyes you should not have sex until your are married, unless you are a nun or a priest in which case you are expected to fight your body's natural urges and occasionally unload in your bed while you sleep. How hard do you have to pray to stop wet dreams?

Low income teenagers who lack both the proper education and rich enough parents to send them to a Catholic school may see things a little differently. This being the case, how do we instill abstinence into teenagers without a nun to slap down those boners with a ruler? Well, you can take away any access to birth control, that will teach them a lesson they'll never forget, at least for the next 18 years as the state relentlessly chases down the father for child support.

3% of what Planned Parenthood deals with is abortions. Leaving over 90% preventative care, that includes birth control, cancer screenings and overall healthcare for low income men and women. Giving a woman the right to choose what she does with her own body is condemned by the Catholic church, if they could just think for themselves then men wouldn't have to tell them how to deal with a baby after getting them pregnant.

Is the Department of Education sucking your bank account dry?

Michele Bachmann, in her latest tax payer saving fiscally responsible speech, demands to know why YOUR tax dollars are going to the Department of Education. The founding fathers of this great country would've gasped had they witnessed the liberal waste in this country.

Citing the 33rd amendment, Bachmann insists the constitution expressly forbids any Government involvement in the education system. Furthermore, the DOE is issuing funds to inner city low income schools. Why aren't these children home schooled instead of costing the tax payers? This is an outrage!
